Project AWARE is a global movement for ocean protection powered by a community of adventurers. They connect the passion for ocean adventure with the purpose of marine conservation to create lasting change.
Supported by this growing movement, Project AWARE envision a world where the ocean doesn’t need protecting, and their local actions collectively protect the most vulnerable marine species and decrease pollution. Working together for a clean, healthy ocean – and having fun doing it!
padi green star™ award
Dive World Austin is the first and only Dive Center in Texas to receive the prestigious PADI Green Star™ Dive Center Award which is granted to PADI Dive Centers and Resorts that demonstrate a dedication to conservation across a wide range of business functions, including water conservation, energy use, environmentally-friendly transportation practices, use of sustainable materials, conservation leadership and a donation to conservation through Project AWARE. The Green Star Award identifies dive businesses that care about the environment and are acting to protect it.
