The PADI Divemaster course is your first level of professional training. Work closely with a PADI Instructor to fine-tune your dive skills, perfect the effortless hover, and refine your rescue skills so you anticipate and easily solve common problems. Gain dive knowledge, management, and supervision abilities to become a role model to divers everywhere.
Note: Do your homework! Enroll at least one week prior to class. This will allow you adequate time to complete all training materials.
Traditional Divemaster Course
This course teaches the core lessons of Divemaster. It includes your online training, crew pack, unlimited access to rental tanks (or air fills), and weights as needed. It does not include Padi Pro Fees.
Ultimate Divemaster Course

Must Call to Upgrade to Ultimate Divemaster
The goal of the Ultimate Divemaster Course is to set the candidate up for the highest-paying success following certification. It includes a DSD internship, EFR Instructor, Emergency Oxygen Provider Instructor, Deep Diver Specialty,* and Search and Recovery Specialty.* The course price also includes Divemaster online training, your crew pack, EFR crew pack, course materials for your chosen specialties, unlimited access to rental tanks (or air fills), and weights as needed. It does not include Padi Pro Fees.
*Specialties can be swapped with any other specialty we offer in our roster except Side Mount. The goal of adding two specialties is not only to improve your skills as a dive professional but also to assist in achieving Master Scuba Diver along with Divemaster certification.

Ways to Learn
Group Course
Dive World Austin has created a Divemaster group course to complete all classroom and practical (pool and lake) training in a month on weeknights and weekends. This is the most affordable way to train for Divemaster.
Self-Paced
Call us to sign up
Can you make most of the group course dates, but need some flexibility? Then a self-paced option might be the right choice for you. This Divemaster course option is self-paced and self-motivated. The schedule is dependent upon when you can attend class and dive with beginner classes on the weekend.
10-Day Divemaster Course

As a PADI Divemaster, you’ll lead others, supervise scuba diving activities, and assist with diver training. Whether you want to work at a faraway dive destination or close to home - the adventure of a lifetime awaits you. PADI Divemasters are respected dive professionals who are aligned with the largest and most respected dive organization in the world.
Prerequisites

18 years old

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization)

PADI Rescue Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization)

Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (or qualifying first aid and CPR training from another organization) course completion within the past 24 months

At least 40 dives to begin the course and 60 for certification

Fit for diving and submit a Medical Statement (PDF) signed by a physician within the last 12 months
